Activate and manage a license
Open Settings → License to buy, activate, check, or remove a license. HyperSwitcher stores the local license record securely in the macOS keychain.
Activate a key
Section titled “Activate a key”Paste the key into License key and choose Activate. The status changes to Active when validation succeeds.
If you do not have a key, Buy License opens the checkout page.
An active license immediately unlocks unlimited app shortcuts, the full Quick Layout split depth, Workspaces, and Shortcut Groups. It does not alter your existing configuration.
Understand common statuses
Section titled “Understand common statuses”- Limited Mode means no active license is available on this Mac.
- Active means licensed features are unlocked.
- Checking License appears during validation.
- Offline Grace keeps licensed access available until the date shown when the service cannot be reached temporarily.
- Expired or Disabled returns the app to Limited Mode while leaving your saved setup intact.
- Invalid or Could Not Check includes a message explaining what went wrong.
Move or remove a license
Section titled “Move or remove a license”The two removal actions are deliberately different:

| Deactivate This Device | Contacts the license service, removes the local record, and frees this device’s activation slot. Use this before moving a seat to another Mac. |
| Remove Local License | Deletes only the record on this Mac. It does not free the activation slot with Lemon Squeezy. |
Use Remove Local License only when you cannot reach the service and need to clear the local record.
The settings file does not contain the license key, so moving settings to another Mac does not transfer activation.
