Limited mode and licensed mode

HyperSwitcher works without a license in Limited Mode. A license removes the shortcut and layout limits, and enables Workspaces and Shortcut Groups.

Licensed layouts support up to eight regions. Limited Mode still supports full-screen, half-screen, and quarter-screen placements.

What happens at the app-shortcut limit

HyperSwitcher keeps the first four saved app shortcuts active in Limited Mode. Additional shortcuts remain saved but locked. Temporary shortcuts share the same limit, and Shortcut Groups remain saved but inactive.

What activation changes

Activation changes feature access immediately without replacing your settings. If a license expires or is disabled, HyperSwitcher returns to Limited Mode and preserves the saved configuration.

When a previously validated license cannot reach the license service, the License page may show Offline Grace with an end date. Premium features remain available until that date.
