Tidy Up

Tidy Up repairs an arrangement that is already close to useful. It applies the rules enabled in Settings → Layout rather than creating a new layout.

Move the pointer to a display and press Hyper + Return. You can also press Return while Quick Layout is active.

Tidy Up scans normal windows on the display under the pointer. A result notice confirms what changed. Nothing to tidy means none of the enabled rules found a matching adjustment.

It needs Accessibility permission and Enable Layouts, but it works in limited mode without a license.

The seven rules are independent and belong to the active profile.

Rule What it changes
Fix common layouts Snaps windows that are almost maximized, half-screen, or in a corner to the matching HyperSwitcher layout, including your gap setting.
Bring windows on screen Moves a partly off-screen window back into the usable display area.
Fit oversized windows Shrinks a window that is too large for the display while preserving its shape as much as possible.
Clear tiny overlaps Separates split-looking windows that overlap by a few pixels.
Even out split gaps Corrects a slightly uneven gap between windows that already look split.
Align nearby edges Lines up edges that are already only a few pixels apart.
Clear outer screen gaps Moves a freeform window inward when it intrudes into the outer display gap, without resizing it.

All rules except Clear outer screen gaps are on by default.

After connecting or disconnecting a display, start with Fit oversized windows, Bring windows on screen, and Fix common layouts.

To create a new arrangement rather than repair an existing one, use Quick Layout or Workspaces.
